Currently live in Redding, CA with my wife Justine, semi-dependent man cub Jayce who attends UCSB and Ellie the Wonder Dog.
I was born at a young age and raised in Montana where the wheat and barley grows.  My hometown of Power, MT boasts 150 wonderful souls that define what small town America is like in all the best ways possible.
My days at Montana State University (and the Rocking R Bar) guided me to a larger part of the world and I found myself in Sacramento, CA shortly after graduating.   Through several fortunate incidents I relocated to Chico and then Redding and haven't left (with exception of 2 years in Boise) for the last couple decades.
Realizing I am surrounded by the scenic background of three mountain ranges, the largest man-made CA lake and a half-day drive from San Francisco, Tahoe, Sacramento or the coast it only made sense to grab a camera and capture the beauty of the area.
Being a bit of a wise-ass the name developed as I was very bad at taking photographs but seemed to know how to find myself in wonderful places and where to point the camera.  As my patience, understanding and appreciation for a good photo developed, it turned into a hobby that not only gives me the satisfaction of sharing what I see but is a reason to get me out of the house (and my wife's hair) to take in and photograph the adventures NorCal has to offer.
Since my photography time competes with the other joys of my life; mountain biking and golfing it can be challenging to get out as often as I'd like but I really hope you enjoy the photos when am I am fortune enough to get out and capture the amazing things in my backyard and beyond.
